To sign up, head to ReaderZone. Download the app to your phone or tablet, or use it via the website on a computer. Create an account and join Stratford Library’s Summer Reading with code 4787b.
One account can have all your family’s readers on it if you wish. Groups include: Adults, Teens, Kids – Independent Readers, Kids – Read to Me.

Children’s Summer Reading has two programs:
Read To Me (Birth – Age 8)
Young children are invited to read, write, sing, talk, and play this summer with monthly prizes and activities for reading. Children who participate will receive an invitation to a special party in the fall to celebrate their summer accomplishments! Activity Log (Begins June 2 – prizes begin June 16)
Independent Readers (Ages 5 – 12)
Readers are invited to join the Library’s 2025 summer program. Read 8 books to complete the summer challenge and become a Mayor’s Summer Reading Champion with an ice cream party August 6! RSVP due July 30 by 4:30pm to the Mayor’s Office. Readers can also stop by the Library for monthly prizes and play the LibraryLand game! Reading Log (Begins June 2 – Prizes begin June 16)
Teen Summer Reading
Join our 2025 teen summer reading challenge for a chance to win prizes! Participation is easy:
1) Sign up for Teen Summer Reading.
2) Log your reading time from 6/2 to 8/16. Earn 1 virtual “ticket” for every 15 minutes spent reading (or listening!) to a book, comic, magazine, etc.
3) More tickets = more chances to win. One winner will be randomly selected each week to win mystery prize packs; one Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected to win a $50 gift card in August.
Adult Summer Reading
Join our 2025 adult summer reading challenge by logging the books you’re reading & listening to. Each title you log will be entered into our August gift card prize drawings. To get started:
1) Sign up for Adult Summer Reading.
2) If you prefer not to create an account, you can call (203-385-4164), email (slaask@stratfordlibrary.org), or DM us on social media to share your summer reading titles.
Include your full name, phone/email address and the title of the book or audiobook.
