Hudson Shakespeare Company to Perform Pericles

Saturday, August 23rd @ 2pm

Written in 1607-8, “Pericles, the Prince of Tyre”, marked a departure for Shakespeare. After several years of writing the great tragedies like “Macbeth” and “King Lear”, he dabbled in a new style of mixing comedy and tragedy together, usually with a mix of divine intervention and a journey that would dominate the rest of his writing career. The new style has come to be known as his “Romances” of which “The Tempest” is a part. More information...



The Stratford Library is happy to offer best-selling and classic eBooks, audiobooks, music and video to its patrons available 24/7 from the Library’s digital collection.

In addition to titles that are available for users to borrow or join a wait list, the Library is providing visitors additional titles to discover, sample and recommend to the Library.  Via the “Recommend to Library” links, users can also suggest titles they’d like to see added to the catalog, giving the Library a new method of patron-driven acquisition.
