Part-time Teen Services Librarian
Are you excited about providing youth services in a diverse community? The Stratford Library Association will give you the opportunity to work in a team environment developing programs and services for teens in grades 6 – 12. You will participate in Teen Department services including: reference and readers advisory; instruction in library resources, research methods, collection development and programming. Extensive knowledge of teen literature, strong communication skills, enthusiasm for current teen trends and pop culture, and a commitment to public service required.
ALA accredited MLS/MLIS or comparably relevant degree required. Candidates with MLS/MLIS degrees in progress welcome to apply (pay rate commensurate with degree status). Bilingual Spanish/English highly desirable. 10 hours/week, Hours required: Thursday evenings and alternating Fridays and Saturdays. Pay rate for successful candidate with MLS/MLIS degree: $30.97-$45.37 per hour.

PT Circulation Assistant
The Stratford Library Association will give you the opportunity to work in a team environment serving a variety of cultures and age groups! We have an opening for a part time Circulation Assistant. This position registers patrons, checks materials in and out, works on display and shelf maintenance in the lobby, performs basic “help desk” functions including directional and circulation inquiries, assists patrons with WiFi, fax, downloadable collections, and answers telephone queries. Strong communication skills, proficiency with computer applications, a commitment to an equitable and inclusive approach to public service, and a High School or Equivalency Diploma required. Work experience in a library Circulation Department or in a retail setting desirable. Spanish/English bilingual highly desirable. 15 hours per week; hours required: Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 PM, and every other Friday/Saturday 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Salary range of $17.15 – $23.95 per/hour.
