Books on Tap (BOT) –
Books, Brews, and Bantor
Tuesday, April 14 | 7pm to settle, 7:30pm to talk
Join us at Riverview Bistro, 946 Ferry Blvd, Stratford, CT 06614 . We will meet at 7:00pm and then start our discussion at 7:30pm.
We will be discussing Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton, a moving and fascinating meditation on freedom, trust, loss, and our relationship with the natural world, explored through the story of one woman’s unlikely friendship with a wild hare. We witness first-hand the joy at this extraordinary relationship between human and animal, which serves as a reminder that the best things, and most beautiful experiences, arise when we least expect them.
Copies available at the Checkout Desk.

Little Gems Book Discussion
Wednesday, April 15 | 11am | Lovell Room
Join our next “Little Gems” book discussion of Wobble to Death, the debut novel of legendary British mystery author Peter Lovesey. London, 1879. Crowds have gathered at Islington’s chilly Agricultural Hall to place their bets on who will become the next world champion in a six-day, 500-mile speedwalking race, the “wobble.” When one of the highly favored contenders dies under suspicious circumstances, Sergeant Cribb also has a race on his hands—to pursue a ruthless murderer.
Copies available at the Checkout Desk.
Registration required

Books Over Coffee
Wednesday, April 29 | 12 noon | Lovell Room
This month BOC will be discussing The Pretender by Jo Harkin. Inspired by a footnote to history, The Pretender is the true story of the little-known Simnel, who was a figurehead of the 1487 Yorkist rebellion and ended up working as a spy in the court of King Henry VII. Historical fiction at its finest, this is a gripping, exuberant, rollicking portrait of British monarchy and life within the court, with a cast of unforgettable heroes and villains drawn from fifteenth-century England.
Copies available at the Check-Out Desk.
