RHYMES AND MOVEMENT ACTIVITIES
Five Little Pumpkins
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate. (hold up one hand)
The first one says, “It’s getting late.” (put your hands on your cheeks)
The second one says, “There’s a chill in the air.” (hug yourself and shiver)
The third one says, “But we don’t care.” (shake your head)
The fourth one says, “We’re ready for some fun.” (jump)
The fifth one says, “Let’s run, run, run.” (run in place)
Then woosh went the wind and out went the light (clap your hands)
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight. (make a rolling motion with both hands)
I’m a Little Pumpkin
(tune: “I’m a Little Teapot”)
I’m a little pumpkin (bounce on your toes)
Orange and round (hold arms out to make a circle)
Here is my stem (place a curved hand on top of your head)
I grew in the ground. (point to the floor)
