August is National Breastfeeding Month, and the Stratford Library is partnering with the It’s Worth It! Campaign to provide information about breastfeeding to Connecticut families. Here are our last tips for the month!
The It’s Worth It! campaign was developed by the Connecticut Breastfeeding Coalition, the Connecticut Department of Public Heath, and their partners to support those who choose to breastfeed, and to reduce barriers that cause them to stop breastfeeding before they are ready. The It’s Worth It! campaign highlights 5 key themes for breastfeeding success to encourage and help Connecticut families meet their breastfeeding goals: Make a Plan, Skin to Skin, Rooming-in, Community Support, and Make it Work.
Tip #4 Community Support
You don’t have to do it alone! Community support is available to you right here in Connecticut. Having good support can help you meet your breastfeeding goals. #itsworthitCT @CTDPH @CTbfcoalition https://www.itsworthitct.org/community-support.html
