Do you miss our monthly Monday Morning Buzz discussions about books & dvds? Then email the Adult Reference librarians at slaask@stratfordlibrary.org regarding what you’re reading and watching. We will gather the titles and share them through this blog. For example, we’ve been reading This is Happiness by Niall Williams, a tender novel about a very small Irish village. A bit of a slow start, but it has lovely evocative writing and subtle humor.
As for movies, we’re looking forward in April to the DVD and streaming release of Little Women, Just Mercy and, in case you missed it, Cats! In the meantime, we have been using Hoopla, the library’s free steaming media service, to catch up on other movies we may have missed, like A Man Called Ove and Loving Vincent, and to watch favorite classics including The Sting and Good Will Hunting. And don’t forget with Hoopla you can also stream episodes from a wide range of BBC and Acorn TV productions.
