Throughout the month of May, the Children’s Department librarians are visiting K-5 classrooms in the Town of Stratford. For Kindergarten and First grade we read a book and then discuss our Summer Reading Program which begins on June 2nd. Grades 2-5 we are book talking our favorite books which include different genres and share the books by flipping through the pages. Grades 2-5 are given a bookmark with the list of suggested books and the Stratford Library Summer events. The Events Flyer will be coming to your school shortly. Promoting reading in our community will create life-long readers.
