School Support Tip – How to Get a Library Card

school supportHow to Get A Library Card

People often ask us, “How old does my child have to be to get a library card?”
Our answer is, “They have to be born.”
It’s true! All Stratford residents, regardless of their age, can get a library card.

There are 3 levels of library cards:
• Kids PreK-5th grade
• Teens Grades 6-12
• Adult
Parents will fill out the library card application for their child. Teens can complete the application themselves.

All the information you need is on our website: http://stratfordlibrary.org/borrowing/

You can also go to http://stratfordlibrary.org/
Click on How Do I…
On the drop-down menu, click on Get a Library Card

What if you don’t live in Stratford?
No problem! Just obtain a library card from your hometown library and bring it to the Lobby Check-Out desk. We will be happy to add your card to our database.

Once you have your library card, come visit us. We’ll be happy to help you find some great books and media so you can use your new card!
