Art & Text – Exhibit at Stratford Library

“Art & Text”, will be the November/December 2019 art exhibit at the Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street in Stratford. The exhibit, which includes work from 17 area artists, is free and open to the public.

The Stratford Library is in collaboration with 13 Fairfield County Libraries sharing the same theme of “Art & Text” in their unique exhibits. The installations showcase painting, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture and much more in works of art which combine visual imagery with letterforms, words and phrases. Among the Fairfield County libraries taking part in the themed exhibit with Stratford are the Bethel Public Library, Fairfield Public Library, New Canaan Library, Westport Library, Ridgefield Library and Plumb Memorial Library. Area artists whose work will be on display for “Art & Text” are Chris Fasanella, Marita Garguilo, Debbie Gilbert-Taylor, Mark Hannon, Eric Hunter, Karen Keane, Kelly Lorraine, Susan Magaziner, Jay Misencik, Monica Long, Donna Osterby-Brien, Jake Silverman, Cynthia Soucy and Helen Webb.

Text” art exhibit are: Monday-Thursday: 10-8 and Friday-Saturday: 10-5pm, Sunday: 1-5 pm. The display is located in the Main Lobby of the Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street in Stratford and will continue through December 30.
