Holiday Events at the Library

bells-webThe Library will present a series of holiday music, film and workshop events during the month of December.
All are held in the newly renovated Lovell Room and are free and open to the public.

“A Silly Song Sing-A-Long”
Tuesday, December 2 @ 4 pm:

Musician Edward Leonard presents a holiday program for the whole family. Kick-off special for Stratford’s annual Tree Lighting Festival at Town Hall.

DIY: Homemade Holiday Gift
Wednesday, December 3 @ 6:30-7:30 pm:

Skip the crowded stores and join Stratford Librarians as they demo budget-friendly gifts ideas for friends and family.

Connecticut Yuletide Carolers
Sunday, December 7 @ 2 pm:

Traditionally garbed Victorian Carolers will bring the bright sounds of the holiday season to this special Library event. Light refreshments served. Sponsored by the Friends of Square One Theatre Company.

Monday Matinees: Jersey Boys
Monday, December 8 @ Noon:

Monthly film series finishes the year with Clint Eastwood’s take on the Broadway musical smash about the origins of the iconic 1960s rock group, The Four Seasons. Rated R.

Survivors Swing Band
Sunday, December 14 @ 2 pm:

Connecticut-based jazz band playing the classic tunes of the Swing Era will include holiday music for today’s concert. Sponsored by the Vin Corda fund.

Lifelong Learners Holiday Concert
Monday, December 15 @ 1 pm:

The Baldwin Center Chamber Players perform their annual concert featuring seasonal music from a variety of time periods.

DIY: Holiday Gift-Wrapping
Saturday, December 20 @ 2-4 pm:

Patrons are invited to bring their gifts and a roll (or two) of wrapping paper to share and spend the afternoon with friends listening to holiday music, munching on treats and wrapping gifts!
