School Support Tip – Online Research for Elementary Students

When an elementary student needs information, they can look at books, magazines, newspapers, or they can go online. Doing an online search can be difficult for children because there are SO many links they could click. Sometimes kids don’t know what to click, so they find incorrect information, like the time a child selected a picture from a cartoon movie to represent the Eiffel Tower in France (Sorry, movie fans – that doesn’t count for a nonfiction report!)

Watch this short video to learn about ResearchItCT.org – a great place to do research online. Using your Library card, you and your child can get access to magazines, newspapers, even nonfiction books that will help you find out about France, famous people, science, and so much more! All in one place and only available with your Library card. We hope you learn something great!
