In-Library Technology
Use a Computer
We have twelve 60 minute computers for walk-in use with a valid Stratford Library card or any up-to-date Connecticut town library card registered in our system. In addition there are two 15-minute express computers available on a first come, first serve basis, no library card required. Additional time is available upon request.
The Library also has Chromebooks and Hotspots that you can check out and take home. Learn more about Chromebooks and Hotspots.
Printing
Printing costs $0.15 per page for black and white and $0.50 per page for color. You can print from our computers or print wirelessly. Learn more about wireless printing.
Scanners
We have both a flat-bed and multipage scanner for the public. Images can be scanned in high resolution in either black-and-white or color and saved as PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PNG or Word files. You can print your scans, email them, or save them to a USB device. Scanning is free.
Faxing
Faxing is available for $1/page, domestic faxes only. Bring your faxes to the check out desk.
Charging Stations
The Library has two charging stations on the main level and electrical outlets located at most tables and reading areas.
One-on-One Tech Help (by appointment)
The Stratford Library offers one-on-one technology tutoring appointments.
Need help with your laptop, iPad, Kindle, smartphone or other device? If you have a question that may extend beyond a few minutes, you can schedule a 30-minute appointment with our library staff to help you with your computer/tech questions. Call our desk at 203-385-4164 or email slaask@stratfordlibrary.org for available hours. We will help you to the best of our ability and help you find additional resources as well.
Librarians are instructors and cannot troubleshoot/fix malfunctioning devices or software.
While we are able to make referrals to a qualified profession, we are unable to provide legal or medical advice. For your own privacy, we cannot handle sensitive personal information unless you are physically present and have provided consent.
